Australia's Squad for World T20

Australia's squad for the ICC World Twenty20 is teeming with experience after Brad Hodge, Brad Haddin and Brad Hogg were all named in the men's squad to travel to Bangladesh.

Hogg, absent from Australia's most recent games against England will become the oldest player in the history of international T20s if he gets a game in the tournament, but the most notable selection was that of one-time international outcast Hodge.

Hodge's sparkling Big Bash League form saw him recalled for the second T20 against England last month, his first international match in six years, and as expected, that led to the 39-year-old being included in Australia's 15-man squad.

Hogg's selection continues a tremendous late-career resurgence courtesy of cricket's shortest format.
But the 43-year-old Perth Scorchers spinner may have to fight for a start with young South Australian leg-spinner James Muirhead also picked at the expense of left-arm orthodox Xavier Doherty.

Haddin, who at 36 is the youngest of the three veteran Brads in the line-up, also replaced the incumbent Matthew Wade, a full 10 years Haddin's junior.

Despite indifferent recent form, Glenn Maxwell retained his place in the side with BBL stars like Ben Dunk and Craig Simmons not making the cut.

Selectors are banking on explosive all-rounder James Faulkner to recover from knee surgery in time to contribute to the Australian campaign.

The injured Shane Watson was also picked in the side while Shaun Marsh failed to get a jersey.
Australia is yet to lift the World Twenty20 trophy in four attempts and will be looking to break that duck when the campaign kicks off against Pakistan on March 23.

Australian Squad: George Bailey (c), Dan Christian, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, Brad Haddin, Brad Hodge, Brad Hogg, Glenn Maxwell, James Muirhead, Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc, David Warner, Shane Watson, Cameron White.
