Indian Squad for Bangladesh and England's tour


Indian selectors have announced the Indian team for the tour of Bangladesh and 18 player’s squad for the tour of England on Wednesday. India will tour Bangladesh for a 3-ODI series before their departure for England. All three games will be schedule at Dhaka on June 15, 17 and 19.

For Bangladesh's tour selectors has decided to rest some players (MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar). Suresh Raina has got a chance to captain the side on this tour. While some players are rested some get a chance to come back in team. Robin Uthappa, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ambati Rayudu, Stuart Binny are few players who are despite having a good run in domestic and in IPL failed cement their position in team.

India will leave for England on June, 22, 2014 and first match will be starts on July, 09, 2014. After 5-0 drubbing in England last time Indian team going there with only three players who had experience of playing in fast and bouncy English pitches. Gautam Gambhir is one of the players who have an experience of playing in those conditions. But the point to be remembered here is that he is making a comeback in team. He was played his last test in 2012 in England. The other two are MS Dhoni and Ishant Sharma.

The selector has included seven seamers and Wriddhiman Saha as reserve wicket-keeper for skipper MS Dhoni. The squad includes three players, seamers Pankaj Singh, Ishwar Pandey and Stuart Binny, who have no Test match experience.

One more name whose name was widely in consideration was Zaheer Khan. He is India's most experienced new ball bowler with 311 wickets in 92 Tests, but he was not considered after missing a major part of the ongoing Indian Premier League due to a hamstring injury.
