There wasn’t much for West Indies to remember from that test series. They were thrashed by Indian’s. India had won both the test matches on third day. West Indies was looked out of sorts in all departments.
In batting, they were bank on seniors players like Chanderpaul and Gayle but they let them down as both of them failed to play any big innings. In bowling too, they were lack in bowlers who had the experience of Subcontinent pitches. They were seemed to have missed the bowlers likes Rampaul and Sunil Narine in test series.
On other hand, Indian’s were brilliant in all the departments. They were exploited the home conditions pretty well and not allowed West Indies to bounce upon them.
India batsmen were superb, particularly, Rohit Sharma, who was playing his debut series, was fantastic. He made centuries in both the matches and conferred with Man of the series award. In bowling, Fast bowlers and Spinners both were good, though majority of wickets goes to spinners but fast bowlers too bowled pretty well.
But one day games are all different ball game. West Indies have different captain and almost different player which might help them to forget all that miserable time in test matches.
