Mumbai Indian reached semi's

Mumbai Indians had played their last match which was also their last chance to qualify for CLT20 semi's against Australian Perth Scorchers. Mumbai not only needed to win that match but also with a great margin to qualify for semi's. They were at the 3rd position in their group (Group A) with 6 points.

Mumbai Indians had won the toss and elected to field first, Harbhajan Singh bowled first over for them which was a clear indicator of Indians approach in this game, they were not gone lose their chance to get into the semi's easily, he gave away just 1 run and tighten up the things right at the start.

But it was Pragyan Ohja who gave them their first couple of wickets, he picked up 2 in his first over.

Nathan Coulter-Nile was the pick of the bowler for Indians, he scalped 3 scorcher wickets off 19 runs.

For Perth Scorchers Sam Whiteman made 51 off 32 balls at a strike rate of 159.37 to help his team to reached 149/6. Agar(35) and Cartwright(28) were the other contributors for scorchers.

It was very clear for Indians that they need to score 150 in 14.2 over to qualify for the semi's. Dwayne Bravo made his intention very clear in the very first over by hitting 11 in that over. It was a huge disappointment for Mumbai when Sachin Tendulkar  gone for 0 off 2 but that's not stop Indians

to move ahead with their difficult task to win in 14.2 over.

Dwayne Smith 48 off 25, Rohit Sharma 51* off 24, Keiron Pollard 23 off 18 and Ambati Rayudu 14*off 4, made the daunting task to a cake walk for Indians. They finished that in 13.2 overs, one over before they suppose to finish that score. 

Rohit Sharma was chosen as Man of the Match for his match winning innings of 51* in just 24 balls and Mumbai Indian are through to the semi's where they will likely to face MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings. 

With this win Indians move to second in their group with 10 points at a RR of  1.068.
