Callum Ferguson has been called into the Australian ODI squad for the tour of India, replacing injured captain Michael Clarke.
Ferguson's call-up comes off the back of his form for Australia A in last year's series against the England Lions and his performances in the RYOBI One Day Cup.
Ferguson has an excellent ODI record for Australia with 663 runs from 25 innings at an average of 41.43, including five half-centuries.
Speaking about the upcoming tour, Ferguson said he was excited about his return to the Australian squad and playing again in Indian conditions.
"I'm really excited to get the opportunity to go to India again, it's a fantastic place to tour," Ferguson said.
"I've played in India a fair bit over the years so to be able to get back over there and play the best spin bowlers in the world will be a great experience.
"It's a great opportunity to be back around the Australian side; the experiences I've had with the squad have always been excellent, so it's exciting to be back in that environment."
