Chris Gayle hit the fastest century 175* in just 30 balls against the Pune Warrior Indians, PWI. It is the highest-ever individual score in a T20 game by an individual surpassing KKR' Brendon McCullum who hit 158 off 73 balls against RCB in IPL-1 at this very ground, Chinnaswamy Stadium. 

The record for scoring fastest century in 50-over cricket is held by Shahid Afridi' who scored 37-ball ton for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in 1996.
The Test record belongs to West Indian stars Viv Richards, who whacked England for a 56-ball 100 in Antigua back in 1986.
